Substance Abuse and DUI Education Services

The **One Promise Staff** bring over **110 years of experience** in serving clients with **substance use disorders**, including **alcohol addiction**. Every client receives an **individualized assessment** and a **personalized treatment plan** upon admission.

 Our Philosophy on Addiction

At **One Promise Counseling and Education**, we believe **addiction** is a **three-fold disease**:

– **Physical**
– **Psychological/Emotional**
– **Spiritual**

We recognize that **drug and alcohol addiction** is a **treatable illness**. By fostering a **healthy therapeutic environment**, we enhance the **recovery process** for those in greatest need.

Our program advocates **abstinence** from alcohol and drugs (except in cases of **medication-assisted therapy**) and provides opportunities to:

– Resolve **psychological/emotional conflicts** with therapeutic support
– Incorporate a **12-step spiritual philosophy** into recovery
– Begin a supportive **reintroduction to family and community**

 DWI Education Program

The **One Promise DWI-Education Program** is designed for:

– Individuals at risk of developing a **substance use disorder**
– Anyone interested in learning about **alcohol and drug misuse**

 State-Approved Curriculum (12 Hours)

Our **12-hour curriculum** covers:

– Review of **drinking and impaired driving problems** at national, state, and local levels
– Overview of **legal penalties**, **court processes**, and **MVA administrative hearings**
– Introduction to **alcohol and drug treatment terminology** and the **medical model of addiction**
– Identification of the **biological, psychological, social, and familial impacts** of substance use disorders
– Familiarization with the **recovery process**, **treatment modalities**, and **community-based supports**

All **DWI Education clients** receive an **individualized assessment** and **treatment plan** upon admission. If clinically indicated, referrals are made for **mental health services**, **social services**, and **substance abuse treatment**.
