PROGRAM REGULATION AND COMPLIANCE
The Bridges First Offender and Multiple Offender Driving-Under-the-Influence Program is regulated by the State of California. All program provisions and fees are approved by the California Department of Health Care Services.
All participants must comply with State Regulations and the terms outlined in the Bridges DUI Program Contract. Failure to follow these regulations or contract provisions will result in termination from the program. In such cases, Bridges DUI Program will notify the referring Court, Probation Department, and/or the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV).
ENROLLMENT
All new enrollments are by appointment only. Please ensure you have all required paperwork listed below and bring it with you to your scheduled appointment.
ITEMS REQUIRED FOR ENROLLMENT
Participants must bring the following items to their enrollment appointment:
- Valid photo identification
• Down payment of $290
• Full payment of $630 is required for enrollment in the Wet and Reckless Program
• Payment must be made by money order or cashier’s check only

COURT OR DMV DOCUMENTATION
You must bring one of the following documents:
- A current court referral
• An Administrative Per Se (APS) letter from the arresting agency

Before enrolling, you must have documentation clearly showing a DUI on your driving record and indicating referral to a DUI program. This documentation may be obtained from the California DMV and/or the court of conviction.
To obtain your driving record, contact your local DMV office. If requesting your record online through the DMV website, search for “Driving License Record” and select the “life history” printout option.
IMPORTANT REMINDERS
Please carefully review the following information:
- After your conviction date, you have a limited number of days to enroll in a DUI program. Failure to enroll within this timeframe may require returning to court to obtain a new court order, which can result in additional court costs.
• Failure to enroll may also result in the issuance of a failure-to-appear arrest warrant.
• It is your responsibility to determine which DUI program is required by the Court and/or the DMV.
• If you are referred by a court outside Sacramento County or are transferring from another program, you must enroll within 21 days of the referral date.
• Class space is limited. Do not wait until the last minute to enroll.
