Family Service Agency
OUR Story
In 1938 a small group of citizens who were conscious of community needs petitioned the Little Rock Community Council to make a survey of the needs of greater Little Rock. With United Fund support, the agency began operation on July 15, 1942, with a Director, one caseworker, and a secretary. Since that day, Family Service Agency (FSA) has been a leading provider of mental health counseling for managing stress, anxiety and depression, family counseling, substance abuse recovery, and more.
OUR vision
Our vision is to create a community where individuals and families are emotionally healthy, resilient, and empowered to live fulfilling lives. We strive for a society where people support one another, where compassion and understanding are valued, and where every individual has access to the resources and guidance they need to achieve mental and emotional well-being. Through strong relationships, community partnerships, and a commitment to care, we envision a future where healthy families contribute to a stronger, more supportive, and more connected community.
OUR mission
Our mission is to enhance the overall wellness of individuals, families, and communities by providing high-quality, compassionate, and professional services. We are committed to delivering effective counseling, support programs, and community-based services that help people overcome challenges such as stress, anxiety, family conflict, and other life difficulties. By promoting mental health awareness, strengthening family relationships, and working collaboratively with community partners, we aim to empower individuals to improve their quality of life and build healthier, more stable communities.
