Spectrum Health Systems is a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping individuals and families overcome the challenges of substance use disorders and mental health conditions. Founded in 1969, the organization has grown into one of New England’s most respected providers of addiction treatment and behavioral health services, offering a comprehensive continuum of care designed to support individuals at every stage of recovery. With locations and programs across Massachusetts and beyond, Spectrum serves thousands of people each day through compassionate, evidence-based treatment and community support services.
At the heart of Spectrum’s work is the belief that recovery is possible for everyone when individuals are given access to the right resources, guidance, and support. The organization provides a wide range of treatment options including medical detoxification, residential rehabilitation, outpatient counseling, medication-assisted treatment, and peer recovery services. Spectrum’s driver alcohol education program is a 16-week educational program for individuals with a first conviction of Driving Under-the-Influence (DUI). Clients are court-referred and participation is mandatory. Clients must attend sixteen 2-hour group sessions and two AA Meetings while abstaining from alcohol and other drug use.
