Established in 1972, Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse has decades of experience in providing support for families and individuals whose lives have been affected by alcohol, tobacco, and other drugs. The Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse (TCCADA) serves the behavioral health needs of the citizens of Bamberg, Orangeburg and Calhoun counties of South Carolina.We offer a wide array of prevention, intervention and treatment programs in locations convenient to residents of our counties.
Located in Orangeburg, South Carolina, the William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility, owned and operated by the TCCADA, is a licensed psychiatric hospital specializing in substance use disorders and co-occurring disorders for adolescents.
With a dedicated, highly trained staff and innovative programs and services, TCCADA takes a proactive approach to fighting substance misuse in our schools, businesses and community. We tailor our programs to meet the ever-changing needs of the communities we serve. Our prevention, intervention and treatment programs spread the message that there is hope and that substance misuse and addiction are preventable and treatable.
TCCADA is a non-profit agency. We are also one of the county alcohol and drug abuse authorities recognized by the state of South Carolina under the Office of Substance Use Services.
What We Do
We offer services that are designed according to our patients’ needs to help them completely recover from the use of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Our team is here to guide you throughout the process – from prevention to education and treatment. Here are the services we offer to individuals and families in Orangeburg, Bamberg, and Calhoun counties:
The Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse is an office of health, information, and services for behavioral health issues. We seek to maximize individual health through education, community outreach, and service provision for the citizens of Orangeburg, Bamberg, and Calhoun counties.
The South Carolina Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program (ADSAP) is a mandatory statewide education and treatment program designed to lower risk for individuals who are convicted of Driving Under the Influence (DUI) and individuals whose licenses are suspended through the state’s Administrative License Revocation (ALR).
What to Expect
Clinical staff will orient you with the Alcohol and Drug Safety Action Program. You will be provided with a packet of information with questions and answers about ADSAP and tips to successfully complete the program. Administrative staff will then discuss several forms that address policies, procedures, and financial responsibilities with you. An ADSAP clinical counselor will then conduct an assessment to determine the focus of services and the level of care that will best meet your needs.

Costs range from $500 to $2,500 depending on your needs
