Al Iacocca resides in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania with his wife and three children. Al is a Pennsylvania native who spent his childhood in Allentown and his teen years in Lansdale, but has also lived in Blacksburg, VA, Chapel Hill, NC, Wilmington, DE, and Salzgitter, Germany. After studying History and German as an undergraduate at Virginia Tech, Al went on to earn his Master’s Degree in German Literature from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill before graduating magna cum laude from the North Carolina Central University School of Law in 2001. While in law school, Al was an active participant in trial advocacy competitions, as well as a member of the NCCU Law Journal. Al is admitted to the Pennsylvania Supreme Court Bar, as well as the Federal District Court of Eastern Pennsylvania Bar. Al has represented clients at local, county, and appellate courts in Pennsylvania, as well as in federal district court. In addition to practicing law, Al is a trained mediator, who is committed to working with individuals and businesses to resolve their disputes and legal matters in a manner that is civil and respectful to all involved. Al has helped business owners work through corporate changes and buy-outs and has represented business owners in court-mandated mediations at the federal and appellate levels. In 2010, Al completed a certification for advanced training in Divorce and Custody Mediation with the Lancaster Mediation Center in 2010, and has successfully helped married couples navigate the legal and emotional challenges of divorce, custody, and support since then. Locally, Al is committed to his community and is an active participant and sponsor of local youth sports programs. A long-time triathlete and triathlon coach, Al formed a local youth triathlon team known as the KAY Tridkidz Youth Triathlon Team in 2007, and, many seasons later, with the help of his wife and other local coaches, the team was made up of more than 20 local athletes between the ages of 5 and 14. While Al no longer coaches the team, the team continues to introduce, train, and develop young athletes in the sport of Triathlon, as well as compete in local triathlons. As a result of his efforts to support local youth, Al was given the Volunteer of the Year Award by the YMCA of the Brandywine Valley in 2010. In recognition of their commitment to youth development and the annual Kennett Area YMCA Good Kids Campaign, the Kennett YMCA honored Al and his wife, Mary, with its 2011 E. Marshall Newton, III Good Kids Service Award, which annually recognizes volunteers who exemplify the YMCA values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility.
The impact that a DUI/DWI can have on your life can be minimized with representation. Failure to have representation can result in you losing your license, spending time in jail, and paying hefty fines. Not infrequently, DWI/DUI charges can be successfully challenged by an attorney, or an alternative punishment can be made available to you such as the Chester County ARD Program or Intermediate Punishment Program (IPP). While there are many ways to challenge a DUI/DWI arrest, our attorneys will carefully review the legality of the traffic stop, whether or not you were properly informed of your rights by the officers involved, if your BAC was indeed over the legal limit, and if the Breathalyzer machine was functioning properly and operated properly. At Iacocca Law, we are committed to aggressively defending those individuals who are charged with drunk driving. If you are facing charges from a DUI/DWI arrest, please do not wait to contact us for a free consultation so that you know your rights, what the consequences of your charges may be, and what options are available to you.
