Who We Are Baldwin Substance Abuse Services (BSAS) is certified by the Administrative Office of Courts to provide Baldwin County, Alabama with the proper Court Referral Education Programs as ordered by the courts. Current research indicates that there is a significant correlation between crime and alcohol and/or drug abuse. In Alabama, 80-90% of all crimes committed are alcohol and/or drug related. Taking this into account, the state of Alabama finds it imperative that the judicial system take a proactive approach in combating alcohol and drug use within the state. Our agency is an integral part of this initiative within Baldwin County. Our goal is to reduce crimes associated with alcohol and/or drug abuse by presenting factual information on substance abuse and related issues. Our classes offer students the information and tools necessary for them to create positive behavioral changes in their lives. We strive to better equip them to make educated, responsible decisions within their lives and communities.
