DEEP
Maine Driver Education and Evaluation Program (DEEP)
The Maine DEEP program is a legislatively mandated (5 MRSA c.521, Sub-c. V) operating-under-the- influence (OUI) countermeasure program. The goal of the programs is to reduce the incidences of injury, disability and fatality that result from alcohol and other drug related motor vehicle crashes, and to reduce the risk of re-offense for OUI. DEEP provides effective, efficient, and meaningful interventions such as education, treatment, and counseling services. DEEP is run by DHHS’ Office of Behavioral Health, and there are two programs: one for drivers under 21 and a different program for drivers 21 and older.
DEEP driver education certified agency
If referred to the drivers’ Maine DEEP education and evaluation program, Atlantic Counseling East offers a state mandated driver evaluation program in Ellsworth, ME.
Atlantic Counseling East is a DEEP-certified agency trained and equipped to evaluate and treat people charged with driving under the influence. The DEEP, or Driver Education and Evaluation Program, ensures that drivers have completed the proper treatment before driving again.
We can only complete these services for you if you have registered with the DEEP office. Once you have registered with the state DEEP office, we are happy to provide the training and treatment you require.
