The group is headed by Mark Gruchy. The primary focus of Mark’s practice is in criminal law.

Ernest has appeared before all levels of the Provincial and Supreme Courts in Newfoundland and Labrador (general, Family and Court of Appeal) as well as the Supreme Court of Canada.
Ernest is a current member of the Canadian Bar Association, the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Atlantic Provinces Trial Lawyers Association. In his 33 years of practice, Ernest has gained considerable experience and currently maintains an extensive litigation practice.

Nancy C. McKillop, Associate
Nancy is a current member of the Law Society of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Canadian Bar Association, and has appeared before the Provincial and Supreme Court of Newfoundland and Labrador and the Newfoundland and Labrador Court of Appeal. She was born in Halifax, Nova Scotia, raised in St. John’s East and is the mother of two young children.
