Gloucester County IDRC
The (Intoxicated Driver Resource Center) is the official court-mandated program for individuals convicted of alcohol or drug-related driving offenses in Gloucester and Camden Counties, New Jersey. The program is operated by Advanced Counseling Services and provides the 12-hour education and screening required for license restoration.
The 12-Hour DUI Program
The program is designed to fulfill New Jersey’s legal requirements through education and personal evaluation rather than a traditional “test.”
- Structure: The class is 12 hours total, typically split into two consecutive 6-hour days (either a full weekend or two weeknights).
- Curriculum: Topics cover New Jersey DUI laws, the stages of substance use, and the impact of alcohol/drugs on driving. It also includes a mandatory private substance use screening with a trained counselor.
- Format: Classes are primarily held live online via Zoom. Participants must stay on camera in a private setting for the duration. The Zoom platform includes a translation feature that supports over 80 languages, including Spanish.
- In-Person Options: For those requiring accommodations or in-person sessions, classrooms are located in Williamstown and Woodbury.
Operating Hours & Schedule
While the online classes follow a specific monthly schedule, the administrative office maintains standard business hours for registration and inquiries.
- Office Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
- Class Times: * Weekends: Saturday and Sunday, 9:30 AM – 3:30 PM.
- Weeknights: Wednesday and Thursday, 4:00 PM – 10:00 PM.
- Registration: Participants are often automatically scheduled by the state after a conviction, but you must “purchase” the class on the website to confirm your seat.
Out-of-State & Special Cases
The Gloucester County IDRC is also a designated provider for “Out of State” cases.
- Non-Residents: If you received a DUI in New Jersey but live in another state, you can complete this online course to satisfy New Jersey’s requirements.
- Other State Convictions: If you live in New Jersey but were convicted in a different state, the center can provide documentation (Education Verification Certificate) to help you satisfy that state’s requirements.
