About Bradley R. Tengler, P.C.
I have practiced law for 16 years, with nearly all of that time devoted to family law. Clients come to me in some of the most difficult moments of their lives — when a spouse is abusive, a child is being alienated, DCFS is involved, a parent has taken the children out of state, or communication has spiraled into damaging texts and conflict. Others seek help preparing for a GAL investigation, pursuing guardianship of a grandchild, or balancing parenting time with financial realities.
I help clients understand their rights, strengthen their position, and take practical steps that make a real difference. Family cases aren’t just legal issues — they’re personal, emotional, and often urgent — and I work with clients to navigate each challenge with clarity and direction.
My Background
Originally from rural Pennsylvania, I have lived in northern Illinois for more than 30 years. Before becoming a lawyer, I taught high-school English and Journalism, which shaped my communication-focused approach to client advocacy. I later worked in personal injury and workers’ compensation, gaining experience as a diligent and assertive plaintiff’s attorney.
I graduated cum laude from Northern Illinois University College of Law, served on Law Review, and excelled in Moot Court competitions. I am admitted to the Illinois Bar and the Federal General Bar of the Northern District of Illinois and am a member of the Winnebago County, Illinois State, and Illinois Trial Lawyers Associations. I also regularly write and publish articles in the areas of law I practice.
My commitment is simple: to guide clients through their toughest moments with clear advice, strong advocacy, and solutions that protect their children, their stability, and their future.
