Many times if you are caught driving under the influence you are required to take a DUI or Alcohol Highway Safety class. Prevention may be another name for this type of class as well. Each state is different. Taking a class of this type can be very informative, even if it is not a requirement for you. It is a great place to find out the ramifications of substance abuse. Finding the Right DUI Class
Some questions you may want to ask about potential DUI classes are:
- Will this class teach me what I am required to learn to get my license back?
- What will it cost?
- Does insurance pay for it?
- Will there be someone there from a Victims Impact Panel?
- Will I get a certificate of completion?
- How long does the class last?
- Can I bring my family?
- Will it provide a list of activities I can attend that are alcohol free near me?
- If you have had a traumatic experience as a result of substance abuse – can I share my story and get involved with the class?
